MUD AND MERLOT

My name is Dave Roach. I am the owner &

operator of Mud and Merlot. 

During the day, I am an art and ceramics

teacher, at a local middle school.

As much as I love all the arts, ceramics is

definitely my passion. Ceramics is

relaxing, rewarding, and most important,

a lot of fun!

 

So, one day I asked myself… How can I

continue to teach ceramics, during

evenings and weekends, on an adult level?

Don’t get me wrong, I love my teaching job,

but once it’s over, it’s nice to have

“adult time”.

The answer is Mud and Merlot! I bought a

building, put it on my property, put in a

bathroom, a kiln room, A/C and heat,

and Mud and Merlot is in business! 

 

My “master plan” is to teach ceramics to

adults at a very reasonable price, so they

will be repeat customers. I would much

rather make a little bit of money several

times, while keeping people happy,

as opposed to overpricing people and

never seeing them again. To me, that’s just

good business.

 

So, grab your family and friends, grab a

bottle of your favorite adult beverage

(wine, bourbon, and beer glasses are

provided), and come make something cool,

while spending quality time with the

people you love.

It doesn’t get much better than that!
